This study investigates the use of an investigational medication for treating advanced soft-tissue sarcomas, which are a group of cancers that begin in the tissues that connect, support, or surround other structures and organs of the body. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the investigational medication in patients who have not responded to initial treatments. The study is being conducted in Spain and aims to enroll approximately 25 patients with specific types of sarcomas, including solitary fibrous tumor, synovial sarcoma, and others.
Participants in the study will receive the investigational medication orally in tablet form. The medication is designed to inhibit certain enzymes involved in the cell cycle, potentially slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells. Patients will be monitored for changes in their condition and side effects. They will provide biological samples for further analysis, which will help researchers understand the medication's effects on the cancer and the body.
- Who can participate: Individuals aged 16 to 70 years with advanced unresectable soft-tissue sarcoma and measurable disease may participate. Participants must have adequate organ function, an ECOG status of 0-1, and no certain prior treatments or specific medical conditions.
- Study details: Participants will take oral tablets of cirtuvivint and provide biological samples for analysis. They must avoid certain medications and sun exposure during the trial.
